This is a commentary from the EcoHealth magazine that highlights the importance of an integrated and holistic multisectoral One Health approach in combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) integrating environmental, aquatic and wildlife issues.
It also mentions some plans that are currently being executed worldwide to tackle AMR like the Global Action Plan on AMR from the WHO and the previously called Tripartite Collaboration from the WHO/FAO/WOHA (ex-OIE).
Lastly, it encourages its readers to actively engage in tackling AMR locally and to work along with policy makers, industry leaders and other professionals in AMR meetings, seminars or research groups.
